Addressing Healthcare Inequality in Rural Kenya
Many communities in rural Kenya face significant barriers to specialist healthcare. Limited access to orthopaedic surgeons, high treatment costs, and inadequate insurance coverage mean that many people live with preventable disability after injuries that could be treated.
Road traffic injuries, particularly motorcycle-related trauma, are a major contributor to long-term disability. For many patients, the inability to access surgery means losing mobility, income, education opportunities, and independence.
Medinsure exists to bridge this gap by bringing together specialist medical expertise, local healthcare systems, and community-based solutions.

WHAT WE DO
Specialist Orthopaedic Care
Through our Afya Program, we deliver surgical missions that provide life-changing treatment for patients with fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, and other orthopaedic conditions.
Community Healthcare
We support outpatient clinics, healthcare partnerships, and access to essential services in underserved areas.
Mental Health Support
We train Community Champions in Mental Health First Aid and promote awareness to reduce stigma around mental health.
Road Safety
We work with boda boda riders through road safety education and injury prevention initiatives.
Healthcare Innovation
We are developing Solar-Powered Telehealth Hubs to improve access to specialist consultations and diagnostics in remote communities
